Interior Design Lab Assistants!
Students,
You may have noticed a few new faces around the Interior Design Department at Central Campus. Through our membership of HCC’s Art + Design Council, we now have 2 lab assistants for the program. Please help us officially welcome Surayya and Andre to the program!
In order to keep our lab assistants, we need your help tracking the use of open lab spaces. Please use the QR code provided to log in for reservations when you are in the program during open lab times (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). If a class has ended and you intend to keep working in an open lab, we still need you to log into the reservation form. This will allow us to track how many students utilize the open labs with the goal of expanding open lab times for subsequent semesters based on documented use.
You may be wondering, what does a lab assistant do?
Lab assistants in our interior design program are dedicated to making your experience in the design labs as smooth and productive as possible by facilitating access to open labs during published open lab times. These spaces include the interior design drafting labs, computer labs, and maker space. While lab assistants do not directly assist with your coursework or homework, they play a crucial role in creating an organized, professional environment where you can focus on developing your designs. They also implement safety protocols and ensure that the labs are secure for everyone to work in. So, when you’re ready to turn concepts into tangible creations, our lab assistants are there to open the doors and provide an optimal workspace to support your educational endeavors.
As we are just a few weeks from the end of term, this is an excellent time for you to take advantage of the open lab times listed in the schedule below.
